Fair Parking

We park cars at the Fairway Shopping Center for the Northwest Washington Fair. The proceeds from this and other club events enable our club to support more than 20 charities and activities here in Lynden.   Our Club shares duty with the Kiwanas Club; the 2023 Fair will be Thursday August 10th through Saturday 19th; we have parking duty Tuesday the 15th – Saturday the19th

Flags

We proudly continue our flag program with local businesses and look forward to displaying over 300 flags citywide on 12 holidays this year.  The largest concentration of flags is along Front Street in downtown Lynden where over 50 flags are displayed on each of the 12 holidays.  This year we celebrate 32 years of our flags program.

Sight and Hearing

We collect eye glasses and hearing aids for recycling and offer financial help to obtain eye glasses or hearing aids for those needing assistance.  For information, contact us here…

Dictionaries

The Lynden Lions Dictionary project continues to provide dictionaries to all third graders in the Lynden Schools at the beginning of each school year.  These Dictionaries also provide facts of the world as well as the Presidents of the U. S., Declaration of Independence, the countries of the world and the solar system, and others.  This is for them to keep as their own.  Although the 2020 and 2021 distribution had to be handled differently to comply with the Covid regulations, all 3rd graders received their dictionary.  2023 will be our sixteenth year and many previous recipients are still using their dictionaries. A special thanks to Lion Maurene Okane for taking up the gauntlet and coordinating this program with infectious enthusiam!!!
